Short bio

My name is Olivia Trono. I’m a mix of Belgian and Italian cultures. I studied philosophy, then Library Sciences in Belgium. For years, I worked in documentation, information and libraries, mostly in international and academic environments in Belgium, Switzerland and Italy. I discovered shiatsu in 2009 when I was living in Rome. That’s when I started the fabulous journey within the shiatsu world. The biggest surprise for me was to discover that there was a huge philosophy background involved int this type of body work: traditional Chinese medicine !

diploma

I then pursued for 5 years my training at the IOKAI shiatsu school in Lausanne (Switzerland). In December 2015, I finally concluded my studies and got my professional certificate.

I created WuXing Balance, when I arrived in Singapore beginning 2016. WuXing literally means the 5 movements or elements. This is a fundamental theory at stake in traditional Chinese medicine. The meridians, on which shiatsu works, are deeply related to those 5 movements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood).

After almost 3 years in Singapore, I came back in Switzerland, in Lausanne, a beautiful city on the shores of the Geneva Lake. Now, I have a practice in Lausanne, at La Sallaz, 5′ minutes away from CHUV hospital.

My main interests : women’s health (at any stage until menopause) ; burn out and any form of psychological difficulties ; posture and back problems due to injuries and sport ; teenagers’ health.
